Elaine Harrington is Special Collections Assistant Librarian in UCC Library. This role includes managing the Special Collections & Archives’ service point team and facilitating user engagement of reference, early printed books and unique and distinctive collections. Elaine focuses on the ways users engage with Special Collections’ services and collections, and the necessary skills that are required for effective engagement. Since 2022 Elaine has been Treasurer of the LAI’s Rare Books Group. Elaine’s research interests include how the use of emerging technologies in a Special Collections’ context may provide different collaborative opportunities.
