Lorna is currently Deputy University Librarian and Director of Library Operations at UCD. She has worked in academic libraries over 20 years. Prior to her current role in UCD, Lorna was Institute Librarian at the Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT) and Head of Academic Services at Maynooth University Library. While at Maynooth University she was the first member of professional staff at the university to receive a Teaching & Learning Fellowship, and received a President’s Award for Innovation.
Throughout her career Lorna has played an active role in the wider library profession. She was a member of the IFLA World Library & Information Congress National Committee in 2022, has been an active member on a range of CONUL and LIBER initiatives and is currently Honorary Treasurer of the Library Association of Ireland.
