ABSTRACT SUBMISSION HAS NOW CLOSED

This year’s conference will focus on research and how libraries inspire and support research activities locally, nationally and internationally. The conference will also provide an opportunity for CONUL library staff to network, learn, discuss and share their expertise and best practice.
The Abstract Submission System was open from Monday 5 December 2016 until Tuesday 31 January 2017.

SUBMISSION TYPES

  • Presentations: 20 minutes plus time for Q&A
  • Lightning talks: 10 minute presentations
  • Posters: A0 size
  • Show & Tell: This year we are delighted to introduce a new workshop style format called Show & Tell to the conference. Speakers are grouped into four for this session and have 5 minutes to present their initiatives/topics using a maximum of two slides. Following this the speakers are provided with a display area in the room where they can display a poster, distribute hand-outs or use laptops to elaborate on their presentations. Delegates have the opportunity to go from speaker to speaker and ask questions, exchange ideas and network. The concluding 10 minutes is a facilitated discussion based on all of the presentations and delegates have the chance to share ideas and identify similar themes (further information on this format here bit.ly/conulconf1).

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • Title of the Presentation or poster
  • Name, affiliation, job title and short biography of lead and corresponding author
  • Name, affiliation, job title and short biography of co-author(s)
  • Abstract (300 words for all talks, 100 words for posters)
  • Conference topic addressed (see above)
  • Contact email address
Applicants will be notified about whether their submission has been accepted or not on Monday, February 27.
Successful applicants must confirm acceptance by Friday, March 10.

NOTIFICATIONS

  • Successful submitters of presentations and posters will be required to register for the full residential conference.

  • Presenters may be recorded for live streaming. A recording of their presentation and a copy of their slides may be published online after the conference.

  • Posters may be published online after the conference.
